Quincy Compressor Joins the Atlas Copco Group
BAY MINETTE, AL, DECEMBER 18, 2009 - Quincy Compressor, local manufacturer of rotary and reciprocating industrial air compressors announced that its parent company EnPro Industries (NYSE: NPO) entered into an agreement to sell Quincy Compressor to Fulcrum Compressor LLC, a subsidiary of Atlas Copco North America LLC, and Atlas Copco (China) Investment Company Ltd. The companies expect the transaction to close in the first quarter of 2010, pending regulatory approval.
Quincy Compressor is a leading designer and manufacturer of reciprocating and rotary screw air compressors, vacuum pumps and a full line of air treatment components. Headquartered at its Bay Minette, Alabama facility, the company operates manufacturing in Quincy, Illinois, and an assembly facility in Kunshan, China.
Serving industry for nearly nine decades, Quincy has built a reputation for reliability, performance and value. Its products are sold through a global network of independent distributors and agents. More than three quarters of sales are in the U.S. Quincy holds a strong niche presence in the general industry and energy segments.

Atlas Copco plans to further develop Quincy independently, in line with the Atlas Copco Group’s strategy.
